Welcome to Pagosa Coffee Cabin, a peaceful mountain retreat nestled at 7,800 feet in the desirable Hatcher Lake area of Pagosa Springs. Surrounded by towering pines, mountain views, abundant wildlife, and some of the area’s best outdoor recreation, this is the perfect place to relax, recharge, and experience the beauty of Southwest Colorado.
One of the cabin’s greatest features is its location. The entrance to the San Juan National Forest is less than a mile away, making it easy to start your day with a scenic hike through millions of acres of protected wilderness. The popular Turkey Springs trail system is also just a short walk from the cabin via the nearby Thrush Court access point, offering miles of hiking, mountain biking, trail running, and outdoor adventure right from your doorstep.
After a day exploring the mountains, return to the cabin and unwind while taking in views of Pagosa Peak from the back deck. Deer are frequent visitors to the property, often wandering through the quiet grassy yard. The front deck offers peekaboo views of nearby Hatcher Lake and provides the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening sunset.
As night falls, the experience becomes even more special. Pagosa Springs is known for its exceptionally dark skies, and stargazing from the cabin is nothing short of remarkable. On clear evenings, guests can enjoy brilliant views of the Milky Way, countless stars, and seasonal meteor showers from the comfort of the deck. It is one of our favorite ways to end the day.
Inside, the cabin features three bedrooms and two bathrooms, making it ideal for families, couples, or small groups. Large south-facing windows fill the home with natural light throughout the day, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Comfortable furnishings and a beautiful Hearthstone fireplace provide the perfect setting to relax after a day on the trails, slopes, lakes, or hot springs.
Coffee lovers will feel especially at home. Pagosa Coffee Cabin is equipped with a premium Bonavita coffee maker, a semi-automatic espresso machine, and multiple brewing options, allowing guests to enjoy café-quality coffee while surrounded by mountain views and fresh alpine air.
The fully stocked kitchen has everything needed to prepare meals during your stay, whether you’re making a quick breakfast before a hike or gathering for dinner after a day of adventure.

Your Questions, Answered
Colorado has four distinct seasons: cold, dry winters (lows in single digits, highs around 40°F), pleasant summers (40s to low 80s), and mild spring/fall weather. Abundant sunshine year-round means you can count on quick warm-ups on clear days.
How hot or cold does it get in Pagosa ?
We use whole-house evaporative cooling , which works beautifully in Colorado's dry climate. It keeps the house comfortable during warm months while using significantly less energy than traditional AC—plus it adds moisture to the air, which is a bonus during our arid summers
Does your house have AC ?
How far is The Cabin from Wolf Creek Ski resort and The Hot Springs ?
Wolf Creek Ski resort is 21 miles from the Cabin and takes roughly 45 min.
The Springs Resort hot springs is 7 miles from The Cabin and takes about 20 min.
